Took this picture just outside the library. In a few days, all the hitherto barren trees will be blossoming with these white flowers. The weather with the cloudy and pleasant was one of my favorites.. ideal to go on a trek or something. But its weather like this which cancels my flight lessons as the wind is too gusty for safe limits. Love-hate relationship....
bigger picture? better camera? hmph.
ReplyDeleteyaar that was the tragedy... stupid cell phone camera.. actually this post is not even worthy of being called a post! :P
ReplyDeleteCurious- what speed of wind takes your Cessna out of flying? I traveled Roanoke-Charlotte on a turboprop on a day with wind gusts upto 45 mph, and it was scary as shit!
ReplyDeletePS: Yaar remove that GT ka slideshow from top of every page na.. its making your blog heavy to load. Agreed the pics are nice, so maybe you can put that as one post instead of part of the template, so that way it still stays on your blog :)
Karan, we usually consider windspeed in knots. and we cant fly if wind gusts are about 28 knots or above (calculating = 32mph) the plane weighs only around 2400 lb which I'm guessing is smaller than the one you flew in. and hence can handle lesser wind gusts
ReplyDeleteOh yes, my advisor is a licensed pilot and he always talks of speeds in terms of knots. Yes, the turboprop I flew in was a DHC Dash-8, heavier than Cessna for sure, but still Roanoke airport suspended its takeoff when wind gusts were ~55 knots. Finally allowed takeoff when it came down to ~40 knots but the ride was too scary!
ReplyDeleteThe only consolation is that the site loads faster now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for having merci on my browser :)
